Chateau de la
In the 15th and 16th centuries this manor belonged to the Couvidat family. It belonged to the Vidart
family of Saint-Etienne at the end of the 1630s. In 1754 the Viot de la Vergne family became its owner.
During the Revolution a certain Roudareix lived there. The Rocquart family became its owner in 1846,
then it passed to the Chastenet family, who still owned it. The house is located on a hill from which there
is an overview of the village of Lesterps. It has a basement, a ground floor, a 1st floor and 2nd floor and
large attic room. The roof with long sides and rumps broken into slates is overflowing, pierced with
dormers. At the rear, a half-finished round tower contains the staircase. It is covered with a broken
conical roof connected to a long section of the main roof. The elevations are covered with lime. The
corner chains and the opening frames are made of granite. The outbuildings consist of a barn, a stable,
an altered dwelling and a well. The front of the stable is topped with a sponge cake. The well is
surmounted by a restored small roof.

Chateau de la is, private property, cannot be visited.
